Cooking Instructions for the Original or Spicy Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (182 degrees Celsius).
  2. Take the desired amount of frozen popcorn chicken from the package and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  3. Place the basket in the preheated air fryer and set the timer for 5 minutes (if refrigerated) or 8 minutes (if frozen).
  4. Cook the popcorn chicken at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (182 degrees Celsius) for the full 5-8 minutes.
  5. Midway through the cooking time, pause the air fryer and shake the basket gently to ensure even cooking and prevent sticking. Then add the basil leaves into the basket and heat it for the time remaining.
  6. Once the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the basket from the air fryer using oven mitts or tongs.
  7. Sprinkle the salt and pepper seasoning onto the chicken.
